We are Les Voeux d’Isis, a wedding planning and ceremony company based in the west of France. We have organised more than five hundred weddings since 2008.
Many of the couples we work with do not live in France. Some have never seen the venue before the week of the wedding. That is not a problem: it is simply a different way of working, and we have done it many times.

What we actually do
- Full planning. From the first conversation to the last guest. We find the venue, choose and coordinate every supplier, build the schedule, and run the day itself. You approve, we do.
- Day-of coordination. You have organised everything yourself, and you want to actually enjoy your wedding. We take over a few weeks before and run the day.
- The ceremony. We write and conduct bespoke secular ceremonies. This is the part we care about most, and we do it in French, English, Portuguese or Spanish.
The legal part, honestly
In France, only the civil ceremony at the town hall is legally binding. Everything else, church or otherwise, is a celebration.
Marrying legally in France as a foreign couple means meeting residency requirements in the commune, and that is rarely realistic if you live abroad. Most of our international couples marry legally at home, quietly, and celebrate here. French nationals living abroad often marry in the commune where one of their parents lives. The ceremony we write for you is the one your guests will remember, and the one that will be in the photographs.
A religious wedding, on the other hand, is not a problem for couples living abroad. Churches here will celebrate for a couple already married civilly in their own country. Contact the parish early: that conversation takes longer than you expect.
Tell us your situation at the first meeting and we will tell you plainly what is possible.
Where we work
We have three offices: Poitiers, Bordeaux and La Rochelle, in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, two hours from Paris by train and close to the Atlantic coast.
We know the venues here one by one: their kitchens, their access, their music curfews, and what has to be brought in because they do not have it. We also travel further when a project calls for it: we have organised weddings in Sologne, on the French Riviera and in Italy.
What it costs
Full planning starts at €2,500 for a wedding of one hundred guests. Day-of coordination is between €800 and €1,500.
The first conversation is free, and it can happen by telephone, by video call, or in person. If you would like it in English, Portuguese or Spanish, please say so when you book: we arrange it with my colleague Barbara, in La Rochelle.

Tell us about your day
Write to us, or book a call directly. A date, a place, a number of guests, or simply an idea: we take projects as they come.
The rest of this website is in French. You are very welcome to look around: the photographs speak for themselves.
